Kenneth E. Ruby, Chairman and Chief Technology Officer: Ken began his career with Ernst & Ernst in 1967 where he participated in the development of the National Medicare Audit Program as a member of the team performing first-year Medicare audits under contract between SSA and the Intermediary. Following his public accounting experience, he was CFO at several hospitals and Vice President and Controller, and later acting Chief Financial Officer at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas (1,584 beds). After leaving Methodist, Ken was Senior Vice President of Zebec Data Systems.
In 1995 Ken founded MC AnalyTXs, Inc. (MCA) and led it through the development of claims management software used by MCA in their Medicare Recovery project for hospitals and more recently through the development of the AnalyTXs AllPayor System. The AnalyTXs AllPayor System is web enabled and uses the latest software technology to manage the huge volume of claim and payment data typically generated by the Nation's very largest private and public hospitals. He is currently Chairman of the Board of MC AnalyTXs, Inc., in Houston, Texas and continues to lead the technical development of the company's software products.
Ken is a CPA and is a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He completed a two-year term serving as a member of the National HFMA Board of Directors. He is a past HFMA Chapter President, a past HFMA National Matrix member, and has served two years on the HFMA National Nominating Committee. He holds HFMA's William G. Follmer, Robert H. Reeves, Muncie Gold Merit Awards and the Founders Medal of Honor. He has also served on the Ohio Hospital Association's Finance Committee, the Data Processing Issues Committee for the Kentucky Society of CPAs, and is a charter member of the Ohio Valley Chapter of the Midwest Pension Foundation. Ken has served on the Advisory Board for Graduate Education at the University of Houston - Clear Lake and the Advisory Board for Houston Baptist University's Center for Health Studies MS-HA Program.
