Eric V. Depew, President and Treasurer: Eric graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS Degree in Engineering Technology and joined General Electric's Corporate "Technical Marketing Program". As a major accounts executive handling such clients as Exxon, Amoco, and Dow, he became the number two producer in the country for General Electric Supply in less than two years, eventually accepting the assignment of Engineering and Construction Sales Manager. He was able to use his organizational skills to help lead General Electric Supply into the era of Total Quality Management and the use of quantitative analysis to improve total customer service. As a believer in the use of technology to improve operational efficiencies, he was instrumental in a number of other projects to improve the day-to-day operations of General Electric Supply.
Following his successful career at GE, Eric continued his career development with American Express IDS as Financial Advisor, Coastal Securities as Account Executive, Meridian Capital Markets as Vice President and Pinnacle Capital Markets, as Senior Vice President. In 1995, he joined Ken Ruby in founding MC AnalyTXs, Inc. and was instrumental in the development of MCA's "Claim Management System". He is currently responsible for all company operations as well as marketing activities for MCA.
Eric is very active in HFMA (Healthcare Financial Management Association) and is a past President of the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. Prior to that office he was Membership Chairman, Program Chairman, Vice President & President Elect. He serves on various other committees, and also attends a number of National and Regional HFMA events each year. Eric is a current member of HFMA's CFO & Patient Accounts Forums and has most recently become certified as a Fellow in HFMA. In addition to his HFMA duties, Eric is currently serving as Chairman of the Program Committee for TAHFA (Texas Association of Healthcare Financial Administration) after having been a member of this committee for several years. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA). Recently Eric began service as a member of the Advisory Board for Houston Baptist University's Center for Health Studies MS-HA Program.
